Editorial policy

How dots.ar selects, verifies and updates information: sources, corrections, use of AI, and the separation between content and advertising.

Redacción dots.ar 2 min read

This is dots.ar’s editorial policy: where the data comes from, how we verify it, how we correct it, and what separation exists between content and advertising. It is a public commitment, and if we fail it you can call it out.

1. Sources

We prioritise, in this order:

  1. Vendor primary sources. Official announcements, help center, system cards and OpenAI documentation.
  2. Third-party technical documentation when it adds verifiable detail about integrations.
  3. Public discussions — forums and social — only as a signal of what people worry about, never as a source of fact. When we use them, we say so in the text.

2. Verification

Before publishing, every factual claim has to be traceable to a cited source. Links to those sources sit at the foot of the article.

When a fact cannot be verified, we have three options and inventing it is not one:

  • label it unverified,
  • state explicitly that the vendor does not publish it,
  • or leave it out.

3. Use of artificial intelligence

We use AI in our workflow. We do not use it to publish without review.

  • Yes: assisted research, drafts, structure, assisted translation between Spanish and English.
  • No: publishing generated text without verification against sources, or generating pages in bulk to capture traffic.

Editorial responsibility is human. The publication and update dates reflect real work on the article.

4. Corrections

An error is not a reputation problem, it is a fact to fix. When we correct something:

  • we update the content;
  • we update the modified date;
  • if the error changed a conclusion, we note it in the article rather than deleting it silently.

5. Independence and advertising

dots.ar has no relationship with OpenAI. We do not accept payment for reviews, for changing conclusions, or for improving a tool’s position in a comparison.

The site is funded by display advertising, technically separated from editorial content. If we use affiliate links in future, it will be disclosed visibly in the relevant article.

6. Trademarks

Third-party trademarks are used for informational and identification purposes. We do not use OpenAI’s logos or visual identity, and we do not imply endorsement or affiliation.

7. Updates

The products we write about change quickly — dots was announced recently and its availability is still rolling out across markets. Reference articles are reviewed when official information changes. Every page shows its update date so you can judge for yourself whether the information still holds.

Frequently asked questions about dots

Do you use AI to write?

AI is used as a drafting and research assistant. Verification against primary sources, editing and final responsibility are human. We do not publish mass-generated, unreviewed content.

How do you correct errors?

We review, fix and update the article's modified date. If the error changed a conclusion, we note it in the text itself.

Does advertising influence the content?

No. We publish no paid reviews and do not order comparisons by commercial interest. If we ever use affiliate links, we will disclose it in the article.

How often are articles updated?

Reference articles are reviewed when OpenAI changes the published information. The update date is visible on every page.
